Here I have attempted to portray birds, especially waders, ducks and the like, in a way that departs from the typical natural history style of photography. Birds of the waterside lend themselves particularly well to a high-key interpretation, the aim being to reduce detail, especially that in the surrounding water, to a bare minimum whilst not detracting from the obvious beauty and shape of the creature. These look particularly good when printed on a textured art paper.
